monterey, santa cruz, and san francisco.

SUNDAY

the drive went pretty well—i was blasting music the whole time, so i didn’t really feel it. the aquarium was nice (apart from the red shorts-stalker). drove up to santa cruz for dinner. the place we ate at was supposedly “famous,” but i couldn’t stand it. the lasagna was nasty, and i had to wait in the car because the smell was so sickening. sorry, but that place was just not my style. and can i just say i am SO SICK of mom trying to order for me. damn woman, i’m 17. and our hotel? let’s just say i would have preffered to stay at the diner.

MONDAY

oh jesus, EVERY HOT GUY EVER works at the santa cruz boardwalk. the dippin dots guy…mmmm. best parts of the day were the cirque de brazil hotties, the log ride guys (why? why?! WHY?! WHY?!?!), the merry go round, the bumper cars, desperado shoot out—BEST SHERIFF BITCHES, the big dipper, and, of course, the double shot. and the lovely man working it.  made a mcdonald’s run when we got back, but they obviously don’t believe in drive-thrus in santa cruz, so we had to settle for jack in the box.

TUESDAY

after the second night in the room it was pretty damn obvious that this family can no longer handle being in one room together. waay too much tension. HAA! and my and kelsey’s asses were not built for one full-sized bed. LORD. worst sleep ever. went to denny’s for breakfast, then headed up to san fran. the hotel was SUCH an upgrade. it acutally had working outlets. and shampoo. and a hairdryer. and beds not made of cement. spent a couple hours watching kathy griffin then went to chinatown. it was nice, but i prefer the LA one. much easier to handle. but overall i really like SF. just the layout and the atmosphere, all the people—i love it. looking down all the hills and streets, it’s all so beautiful.

WEDNESDAY

golden gate bridge = scary shit. i made it about one-tenth of the way up the bridge, before i had to turn around. I. HATE. BRIDGES. sorry, but i prefer to look from afar. visited the walt disney family museum at the presidio. favorite part of the trip. fasho. it was all so interesting, but depressing at the same time, because all i could think was “fuuuuck, i wish i was at disneyland right now.” the place was so nice, it’s weird that it’s so unknown. even the bathrooms were fancy. ate at amici’s which was BOMB. rode down lombard. some foreigners were singing caliiiiifornia giiirls. it was hilarious. ghiradelli square and fisherman’s warf were pretty boring except for my sketch by some sweetie pie and…ish?! HA. most random moment of my life.

THURSDAY

spent the morning watching bethenny getting married. love that girl. ate at home plate for breakfast. our waiter was a sweetie, but the pancakes kind of made me sick. stopped by golden gate park and went through the japanese tea garden. fire alarm! hell yeah. best one of the trip. union square was beautiful. i loved all the buildings and people. i spent way more money than i should have though. a couple blocks from our hotel there was a kfc and taco bell…IN ONE BUILDING. so you already know what we had for dinner. it was amazing—even if those dumb bitches didn’t have ranch or ketchup. “i am SO satisfied.”

FRIDAY

ate at some fancy-ass mcdonald’s for lunch. kelsey drove for like an hour. mom loved it. my mutant bug bite went down, thank you jesus. hit 5 o’clock traffic in SB. dad is such an idiot in traffic. it seriously pisses me off. we finally got home around six. longest car ride of my life. seriously, i’ve never been so happy to see my bed.

i had fun, but sorry, i hope this is our last family vacation. i just can’t handle my parents anymore, and i know they can’t handle us.

second half.

just as awkward. and this time i seriously felt bad. especially since ash was big time PMSing. went to lunch with her and she got all emotional—sorry hun, but damn, i’m 17. don’t need to hear that. kelsey and i took grandpa to wal-mart when i got home. had to stalk him. very entertaining. waited forevaaaaa for grandma to pack the food when we got back. she’s so adorably fascinated with technology.

I LOVE MY GRANDPARENTS.

“yeah.” “and…?” “the medium.” “…” “oh, did you want me to keep it on?” OH MY GOD. that made my day. i know i made him feel bad, but i could not stop laughing.

and for future refrence, all the hot guys go to ventura high and work at the camarillo target.
